We have a tremendous opportunity for a new Medical Director Addiction Psychiatrist for our 200 bed treatment center.
Life Center of Galax is recruiting a certified Addiction Physician to lead our Adult inpatient program in a new 120 bed facility in Galax, Virginia. The Medical Director is responsible for leadership, quality assurance, oversight and overall medical management of the clinic within the boundaries of state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include planning, organizing medical and clinical practices; providing direct patient care and assisting other departments with direct interactions with physicians or medical staff.
Galax, Virginia is the gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains. The City is rich with tradition, shopping, recreation and scenic beauty and is home to the largest Old Time Bluegrass Fiddler&s;s Convention as well as the New River Trail. The genesis of today&s;s Country Music is in the Appalachian mountains of Southwestern Virginia
Addiction Medicine patients require care from specialty-trained professionals, in a highly-specialized, and quality-focused environment. Our team at Life Center of Galax in Virginia is seeking to add a like-minded licensed physician to their diverse and dynamic team.
- Licensed Physician in the state of Virginia
- Active DEA-X waiver
- Advanced knowledge and clinical skills through and appropriate educational program
- Ability to work hours to meet the needs of our clients
- Experience in addiction treatment preferred
